Description

The Kleinmetall VarioCage Compact XL* is a high-quality travel crate that provides maximum safety for both your dog and the occupants of your Tesla Model S (from 2012)or Model X (from 2015).

This variant is specially designed for vehicles with a deep boot floor and features a 23 cm entry threshold, allowing the door to open easily over the loading sill.

The bench is equipped with a integrated crumple zone and is unique due to extensive crash tests on frontal impact, rear-end collision and drop impact, conducted by the Swedish SP Institute according to the SPCT method. The door remains closed in the event of a collision thanks to a two-step lock, and can be quickly opened with a one-hand–quick release. A gas pressure spring keeps the door open during entry and exit.

The bench is lockable with a built-in security lock and offers additional security options via attachment eyelets for a padlock. In an emergency, the dog can be secured via the escape hatch be freed on the rear bench side.

The VarioCage Compact is in length adjustable and fits various car models. For efficient luggage space utilisation, the front and rear walls are slightly slanted.
