Description

The Kleinmetall VarioCage Compact L is a sturdy and safe travel crate, designed for optimal protection of both dog and occupants in a Tesla Model S (from 2012) or Model X (from 2015). This version is suitable for vehicles with a deep boot and has an entry threshold of 23 cm, allowing the door to open smoothly over the loading sill.

The bench is equipped with a integrated crumple zone and has been expanded crash test–tested on frontal impacts, rear-end collisions and drop impacts according to the SPCT method of the Swedish SP Institute. The sturdy two-step closure ensures that the door remains closed even in the event of a collision, while the one-handed quick release and gas pressure spring ensure ease of opening.

For added security, the bench is lockable with a integrated lock and padlocks can be attached via the fastening eyelets. In an emergency, the dog can be reached via the escape hatch at the rear, towards the back seat.

Thanks to the adjustable length and the slightly angled front and rear walls, the VarioCage Compact makes best use of the available luggage space and fits into various vehicle models.
