The Yakima HalfBack 2 is a high-quality bike carrier, suitable for mounting on the tailgate of the Tesla Model S (bj. 2012-2018).

The sturdy steel frame accommodates two bikes with a load capacity of up to 15.9 kg each, up to a total weight of 31.8 kg. Thanks to the clever hub system, both the top frame and support arms can rotate, so you can easily adjust and secure the carrier with the integrated rotary knobs.

Soft rubber pads on the contact points protect your car's paintwork from damage. The carrier attaches securely with several straps around the tailgate and folds compactly for easy storage when not in use.

As the bikes are transported suspended, a more or less horizontal top tube is required for proper attachment. For bikes without a top tube, or with a sharply sloping top tube, the Yakima TubeTop bike frame adapter is available as an accessory to still allow safe transport.
